“Khan” is a famous surname, but in Persian it literally means “mine” as in a gold or diamond mine. Domain Khan reflects that spirit of digging up hidden digital treasures and turning them into value.
“Khan” also signals authority and leadership. Think of iconic figures like Sher Khan from the Jungle Book; he is strong, decisive, and respected. Domain Khan embodies that authority in the domain world: confident negotiation, expert guidance, and disciplined execution.
We chose the name to capture both ideas: the relentless seeker of valuable domains (the “mine”) and the trusted authority who knows how to secure them.

Jay has been active in the internet ecosystem since 1998, shaping how individuals, startups, and enterprises understand and secure the digital identities that define their brands.
A three-time ICANN Fellow, active Internet Governance contributor, and Vice-President of the Internet Society (India Delhi Chapter), Jay has played an important role in advancing India's presence in the global internet community, including contributing to the IDN TLD program for Indic scripts under ICANN.
He is also the Founder of Domain AfterMarket Pro, a premium community for domain investors from South Asia and the MENA region, focusing on education, upskilling, and strategic approaches to domain investing.
